Purpose

A small guide built around traceable claims

Orbis Field Guide is an independent editorial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Hound13, Steam, or the publications cited here. The site exists to answer a few high-intent questions without padding them with guessed mechanics.

Every factual guide page carries a visible verification date and a page-specific source list. When official material and an external observation answer different questions, the labels stay separate.

Direct developer statements can clarify systems such as session limits, but they remain dated statements and may be superseded.

External play reports are attributed by outlet and date. They are never silently promoted to official confirmation.

Update policy

A date changes only after a real review

A page's “last verified” line means its claims and links were checked against the listed sources on that date. It does not mean every possible mechanic was retested. Material changes should update the relevant wording, source list, structured data, and sitemap date together.

We do not publish speculative platform dates, unsupported player counts, fabricated character paths, or rankings without a reproducible method.

Make a correction checkable

A useful correction includes the page URL, the exact sentence at issue, a primary source or reproducible observation, and the version or date checked.
